Most prefer their seasonal celebrations to be jolly. Others don’t mind a little death and destruction thrown into the mix. Ugly Sweater Party (2018) by director Aaron Mento provides us with the best of both these opposing points of view…
In the movie, Jody and Cliff go on a road trip, hoping to hook up with two women at a Christmas party. Cliff picks up an ugly sweater along the way that once belonged to a serial killer. He’s possessed by the evil garment and embarks on a killing spree…
Hunter Johnson from Bunnyman Vengeance (2017) and Charles Chudabala from Irrational Fear (2017) play a pair of horny goofballs out for a good time. They work well together, walking a fine line between all the laughs and the occasional screams.
Felissa Rose from Sleepaway Camp (1983) and Victor Crowley (2017) is hilarious as the sexy Mrs. Mandix. Sean Whalen from The People Under the Stairs (1991) and Hatchet III (2013) is gleefully outrageous in the killer role of Declan Rains.

The comedy in this movie is totally over the top. The dialogue is ridiculous and there are a lot of sight gags that keep things moving pretty quickly. The movie also rolls out a plethora of wacky characters who are really out there.
Horror fans will enjoy all the graphic gore in the movie. Some of the bloodshed is fairly extreme, but it somehow remains funny in context. The deaths take a bizarre turn before the end of the movie, but these moments are set to heavy metal music, so all is well!
The film also includes male nudity, odd dance sequences, ghostly visions, and goofy party moments. Ugly Sweater Party is the most fun you can have getting this bloody. Why not enjoy some festive chaos during the holiday season…
